hiramatsu2018rotavirusProspective NICU study (Oct 2014–Dec 2015) assessing fecal shedding and dissemination of rotavirus vaccine strains after oral vaccination with RotaTeq (RV5) or Rotarix (RV1). Nineteen vaccinated infants (9 RV5, 10 RV1) and 49 nearby unvaccinated infants were enrolled; stool (and some rectal swab) samples were serially collected and tested by vaccine-strain specific real-time RT-PCR. Vaccine-strain shedding was detected in all vaccinated infants but no vaccine genomes were detected in any samples from unvaccinated infants. The provided CSV contains cycle-threshold (Ct) time-series (days after vaccination) extracted from Figure 2 for RV5-vaccinated infants.
rv5_1
RotaTeq (RV5) vaccine shedding after dose 1 measured by vaccine-strain specific real-time RT-PCR (assay targets VP6). Values are cycle-threshold (Ct) from stool/rectal-swab specimens; time is days after vaccination.
Fitted by censored maximum likelihood. The red line is the median individual; the shaded region is the full range of a simulated cohort drawn from the fitted population, so it shows what simulating from this dataset would produce rather than a confidence interval, with dashed lines at the central 95%. Open triangles are non-detects, drawn at the censoring limit and entering the fit as "below this value" rather than being dropped. See the modelling methods for what these estimates do and do not support.
rv5_2
RotaTeq (RV5) vaccine shedding after dose 2 measured by vaccine-strain specific real-time RT-PCR (assay targets VP6). Values are cycle-threshold (Ct) from stool/rectal-swab specimens; time is days after vaccination.
Measurements only — no shedding model is fitted to this analyte, usually because it is sampled once per participant, leaving no trajectory to fit, or because nothing was ever detected. Open triangles are non-detects, drawn at the assay's censoring limit. See the modelling methods for what these estimates do and do not support.
rv1_1
Rotarix (RV1) vaccine shedding after dose 1 measured by vaccine-strain specific real-time RT-PCR (assay targets NSP2). Values are cycle-threshold (Ct) from stool/rectal-swab specimens; time is days after vaccination.

Open triangles are non-detects, drawn at the assay's censoring limit. See the modelling methods for what these estimates do and do not support.
rv1_2
Rotarix (RV1) vaccine shedding after dose 2 measured by vaccine-strain specific real-time RT-PCR (assay targets NSP2). Values are cycle-threshold (Ct) from stool/rectal-swab specimens; time is days after vaccination.
