Human norovirus genogroup II (GII) RNA in saliva quantified by RT-qPCR according to ISO 15216-1:2017 after RNA extraction from 0.2–0.5 mL saliva; saliva collected by spitting 2–3 mL into sterile tube and stored at −20 °C until testing. The paper reports a genogroup-specific limit of quantification (LOQ) for saliva of 2.95 log10 genome copies/mL for GII (i.e., ~8.91e2 gc/mL).
